TEXACO BRAKE FLUID DOT 4

DESCRIPTION

Texaco DOT 4 is a universal brake fluid is a complex mixture of polyalkylene glycol ethers and polyalkylene glycol ether borates combined with special inhibitors preventing corrosion, oxidation and seal deformation.

Texaco Brake Fluid DOT 4 meets both clutch and brake system manufacturer's recognized performance standards. Moreover, it surpasses US Federal Motor Vehicle Services Specification (FMVSS) No. 116 (DOT 4, DOT-3), SAE J1703, ISO 4925. Texaco DOT-4 also meets the requirements set in former specifications: SAE 70R 1 i 3, SAE J 70C, SAE J1703 A to F, as well as SAE J1703 Jan 80, Nov 83 and Oct 85.

Texaco brake fluid is fully compatible with all other brake and clutch fluids manufactured to the same standards. It provides long-term system protection at very high temperatures of up to 260°C as required by Ford and Austin Rover initial fill specifications. Texaco DOT 4 shall not be used in vehicles which require mineral oil-based brake fluids, such as Citroen, Rolls Royce, etc.

CAUTION

Brake fluid can damage vehicle paintwork and must be washed away with water immediately if in contact. Keep the fluid container tightly sealed in order to prevent moisture absorption by the fluid.

Contamination by water, dirt, petroleum products and other materials may result in brake failure and costly repairs.

HANDLING PRACTICES

Texaco Brake Fluid DOT-4 was developed according to stringent safety standards and it does not pose any significant health or safety hazard as long as used properly for its intended purposes with care for general personal and industrial hygiene standards.

For information on the safe handling and use of this product, refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (available on request).
